Inetgrated Graphics with Dedicated Graphics Card

Hello, I am a video editor and i have a editing machine with single monitor, Machine containing a NIVIDIA GTX 960 Card, Yesterday a technician said that enabling integrated graphics ( On-board intel graphics ) will boost my system performance. is this true? using a integrated graphics with dedicated graphics card will boost system performance?

I don't see any way it would boost your systems performance. Even if you use your integrated gpu as a render device it will be much slower than the 960 as no integrated gpu is that good yet.

I don't see any way it would boost your systems performance. Even if you use your integrated gpu as a render device it will be much slower than the 960 as no integrated gpu is that good yet.

I know that integrated graphics can't perform like a dedicated gpu. But my question is, can integrated graphics work together with a dedicated GPU card?

No it cannot. It can be used a a separate rendering device (if your motherboard allows it) but that isn't a smart idea as you'll just have far longer rendering times.
