Inexpensive but OCable P35?

I was going to hold out for the Intel 9450 CPU, but apparently that's been pushed back. As such, I'm going to go with a Q6600-based system. I'm thinking of going P35. Are there any decent P35 boards out there that would OC well, and run a g92 GTS without bottle-necking it in PCI express 1.0, while also having an attractive price?

If the above can't be satisfied with P35, is there something worth while in the x38 realm?

The main difference between X38 and P35 is that X38 supports PCI-E 2.0 @ full bandwidth but P35 supports PCI-E 2.0 but not @ full bandwidth(but the difference isnt noticeable ) so dont worry for PCI-E 2.0 :)

Also P35 supports 45nm CPUs too, so it may support Q9450

i recommend u :
ASUS P5K
ASUS P5K-E WIFI
GIGABYTE P35 DS3L
GIGABYTE P35 DS3R
ABIT IP35 PRO

all of these boards are rock solid and they have a very good OC'ng potentional and will handle a 8800GTS without bottlenecking it in PCI-E 1.0

I'm shooting for the most reliability/least headaches. Which of those boards would you go with? Would x38 be a better choice, from a reliability standpoint?

I just got my 6600 in from Clubit yesterday (good price, HORRIBLE shipping). I installed it in a Gigabyte p35-DS3L and brought it up to 3.2 Ghz right out of the gate, no problems whatsoever! Incidentally, the Q6600 runs like a bat out of hell, I was amazed at the difference compared to my E6400. I reccomend the DS3 line from Gigayte wholeheartedly!

Nice. I was thinking Gigabyte, because I actually just did a Q6600 build that centered around a G33 Gigabyte micro ATX. I haven't accessed the bios on it yet to overclock, though. Some of the reviews of the DS3 on New Egg complained about BIOS issues. However, most of the reviews were positive, so I guess I'll chalk it up to a few bad apples, a few idiots, or both.

What's your opinion of the Gigabyte bios?

to yabayab : yes

to JJ : i would go with P5K-E WIFI or ABIT IP35 PRO since they have the best cooling in those, however those GIGABYTE boards are good too
also dont listen to newegg reviews :) most of them are wrong
