I am looking for an entry-level graphics card, and I don't want NVidia because the machine will run Linux.
The only cheap model I see is something like this:
VisionTek Radeon 5450 1GB DDR3
But it is DDR3. I am building a new rig that will assumedly use DDR4.

By the way, with i7-9700, does an entry-level graphics card help at all?

Solution
Hi, i think there is some confusion here, the Vram of the gpu and Ram of the system do not need to be the same. Hence people like linustechtips doing some crazy bottleneck setups with Gddr5 on a drr2 system.

The HD 5450 is really old and it doesnt compare well. Here is the benchmark

Your money would be better spent on a good cpu cooler if you plan to run it without a gpu/ Save it
