Infinite 4 colour loop during install

Hi all

I was wondering if anyone has experienced this issue before? I'll be asked to reboot my pc while upgrading windows 7 to 86bit architecture. This is what I see when the machine starts back up

The real problem is that it just repeats itself over and over again, from white, to grey to the 4 colours and then to black.

Any pointers would be really appreciated

Is it using on an board display or a dedicated GPU?

I haven't connected a gpu no, it's just on-board graphics currently.

Well looking at it that is a monitor test screen.
Or a display test for the actual Samsung monitor.

So its a pointer that if you have the cable connected to the board.
And it has multiple display output ports, your not connected to the default display output port. In short the monitor say im here, this is what i can do.
The graphics card says ok, ill set myself to that.

But in order to do so it must be able to talk to it on the default set output port.

What motherboard are you using and does it have Vga, Hdmi or Dvi outputs on the board its self ?

If the system boots and presents a screen on a cold start.
Then you have to go into the bios of the motherboard.
And in the section where it details the default graphics output the device connected must be set that you intend to use. first in order. The type of connection Vga, Dvi or Hdmi.

It needs to initialize the default display output port.
Since it cannot find a signal on the right port from the monitor to the board it will result in a loop. it will be trying to confirm signal.

A monitor had to ID its self to the graphics card so it knows what resolution it is capable of, and at what refresh rate to set the resolution at.

If it cannot set this it will result in none display or a test signal.
And a boot loop when trying to run the os as it cannot set the resolution table up for windows based on the information provided by both.

Ps: Before you fit the 770 gtx, go into the bios and select pci-e or peg to first in the list.
Save it in the bios. shut the system down insert card.

connect from card to monitor.
