infinite loop of "preparing automatic repair"

i tried to on my laptop..but it just displayed dell symbol and a message "preparing automatic repair".then the screen only diplayed mouse icon and dark screen.after almost an hour,it just displayed  a blue screen and a sad face and a message "we couldn't gather enough data we will try again."..and it showed "preparing automatic repair" again and just repeated the same process for 6 hours already -.-..i don't know how to fix it..
