Okay so my cpu was playing up, bluescreening when attempting to play a game (it’s a amd fx 8350). I reset the bios to try and fix it, the reset sent the cpu clock speed down to 2.8ghz along with the voltage. I left it to see how it performed and it performed great. I’m now confused about how clock speed affects my performance on my pc as everything seems to be better now the cpu is clocked at 2.8ghz. Can someone explain it to me

Solution
it not clock speed but voltage. more voltage makes more heat in the cpu and if the voltage is set to high a lot of motherboard vrm cant handle the load or the heat and cause unstable power or lock ups.
