I know this has been discussed a million times and is very overwhelming. I come from a background of static overclocks so getting used to just pbo in itself can get confusing. With this new cpu on the way I'm dedicating myself to putting the research in to doing it right. Just looking to see which software I should have for reading/testing results, and maybe some steps in layman terms on how to go about this. I have read that using process lasso is good to make sure you're using the right set of cores for gaming, and that eclk is a good way to get some higher clocks then normal with this cpu.

Here are the full specs of the system and look forward to any input, and links to some good reads...

To start with get some outrageous cooling solution. Ryzen is still temperature bound, no matter what you do, high temps will keep it down.
PS: PBO is not overclocking.
PS2. Consider de-lidding, IHS is very thick and that hampers cooling.

Yes it is.
PB is not, precision boost.
PBO is override of precision boost with higher than allowed values.
It does not go above max clocks but it does increase the overall clocks of all cores combined compared to just PB.

It's the same as unlimited power on intel while still having the clocks locked (mce disabled) .

Precision Boost OVERDRIVE is what AMD is calling it when those three thresholds are bumped up. The default setting for PBO is “auto,” which the stock specification defines as disabled; further, AMD’s own review guide states to disable PBO for reviews, as the Overdrive portion is not spec. That’s what we did for our review, just like how we disable MCE for Intel.

You are confusing boost and OC.

The cooling will be done in a 7000d with a 420mm corsair aio with 6 fans push/pull. 4 more 140mm fans and possibly 3 120mm on the side location.

7950x3d multiplier is totaly unlocked. but manufacturer refuse to allow overclock it in bios.

Question:Unlocking Intel-locked features allowing for free adjustment in BIOS and EasyTune seemed pointless, but helped Gigabyte big win the market. recently the EXPO feature failed on AMD's X670 board causing CPU voltage to exceed 1.5V. Asus has been criticized a lot, Gigabyte has released an update that the CPU voltage limit to 1.3625v but normally the voltage for CPU should be at 1.3v unless we overclock and adjust the limit voltage up to 1.3625v (max). It's secure enough for ublock adjust multiplier, so take this opportunity to go ahead by unlocking adjust the multiplier for the X3D processors, the X3D processor has an unlocked multiplier and it's locked only by the BIOS. So with the voltage capped at 1.3625v and the multiplier unlocked, many people can happily overclock without killing the CPU. If Gigabyte releases the BIOS and EasyTune allows to adjust the multiplier freely and the voltage is limited to 1.3625v max. Gigabyte's market share will increase dramatically. Incidentally, EasyTune and other overclocking tool from other manufacturer previously had a bug that caused it to regulate voltages and freely adjust multipliers for the X3D CPU make it overclockable. So you don't need to fix it, just fix the voltage limit at 1.3625v for stability5/19/2023 9:46 AM
Answer:Hi
For AMD X670, we follow the AMD's rule with new bios released.
