It seems some cruel professor is forcing students to write IF as part
of a course, "Computer Game Design and Implementation". The games are
all downloadable or playable online.

Here's the assignment, "The Interactive Fiction Project":

And here are the games:

Anyone heard of this before? I only found it through the craftiness of
Google.

Neat find. I'm trying out "George Constanza: Looking for Love" just for
kicks. :)

I was thinking about looking at "Monkeys Stole My Pants", myself.

Me, I'm hoping that "System Administrator's Day Off" achieves that Holy
Grail of balance between verisimilitude and gameplay. 😉

Thanks for the links, JohnnyMrNinja. Nick Montfort has a syllabus for
a semester-long course exclusively on IF creation (
http://nickm.com/if/workshop_syllabus.txt ), which would be a very
interesting class indeed.
