PARTS PREFERENCES: I would like to use an AMD CPU & Gigabyte mobo with Mid tower case.

OVERCLOCKING: No CROSSFIRE: Maybe

It will get your gaming done, but as Ahslan said... we need a bit more info to determine whether or not this is the best build for you.

The components you selected are not compatible. The AM3 motherboard requires an AM3 CPU and DDR3 RAM. You can either change the CPU and RAM or get an AM2+ motherboard like this one:

It's strange because when i go to the motherboard that i have selected, in the description it says:

Processor Support:
Phenom II X4 <--
Phenom X4
Phenom X3
Athlon X2
Athlon 64 FX
Athlon
Athlon 64
Sempron
Sempron X2
Phenom II X3
Phenom FX

And, in the comment section someone has posted: "I got this running my phenom 2 X4 940 OCed to 3.45ghz and 8GB of DDR2 800 RAM OCed to 960mhz"

So, i guess it works.

You're right. The AM3 in the description threw me off. It's usually listed as AM3/AM2+/AM2. Here's Newegg's description of the same board "GIGABYTE GA-MA790X-UD4P AM3/AM2+/AM2 AMD 790X ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail". Yes, the Phenom II X4 940 and DDR2 RAM will work with that motherboard. Sorry for the confusion.

That's ok ! I'm probably ordering this build tomorrow if everything is fine.

Given that low resolution, you could save a few dollars and get the 512mb 4870 instead, unless you plan to replace your monitor at some point.
