So, I have gigabyte h81m-s1(rev2.1) mobo and intel g3258 processor. At gigabyte's website there is a updated version of bios is available for the motherboard for cpu microcode update with windows 10 support for pentium AE, so my question is if I update bios to that new version and then for any reason I need to change my cpu with any other 4th gen pentium processor will I have to downgrade the BIOS again? Cause this bios update only for pentium AE edition. I am not a computer geek and I'm aware of that flashing bios is a very dangerous thing to do? I have this question for a long time and not using WIN10 please if anyone could help me..

Solution
you should not have to downgrade. once you update you should be fine staying with that version no matter what cpu you drop in.

the newest version is the best one to use if possible and should not effect an older cpu you may put in.

It is a good idea to update my bios to the newest version for better win10 support, though I don't want to do anything with bios unless it is very important. Can I still install windows-10 and use it without the cpu microcode update? Or I must go for the update?

Thank you so much for your time..
