Hi guys,
Last night i had a message pop up saying i could upgrade to windows 10 (i was on 7) for free, i made the download over night and have just come to check on it now.

The initial screen i see is the "welcome to windows 10" and has my computer name, i dont see any bios screen or anything now it just immediately come up with this to initiate the install of windows 10.

Im clicking next on this screen to start the install but it just keeps crashing.

Is there any way to cancel the install or stop this crashing? i cant seem to get anything other then this screen.

On another computer download the Win 10 media creation tool - use this to make a win 10 installer USB or DVD (your choice)

http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/use-ubuntu-live-cd-to-backup-files-from-your-dead-windows-computer/ - use this to copy anything off PC you don't want to lose or put hdd in another PC and copy stuff off it.

Upgrades from win 7 to win 10 are the most likely to go wrong. I would use the Installer to fresh install win 10 as its less likely to have booting issues.

You can follow this tutorial- http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/1950-windows-10-clean-install.html

If you know your win 7 licence key or have it handy, you can activate win 10 using it once its installed.
