Question Initialize SSD

I recently disassembled my Surface Pro 4 to replace the battery and decided while i was in there, to upgrade the NVMe .2 SSD as well. The operation was a success and I got new surface. But when I try to use the the old disk with a USB enclosure I the system recognizes it, but I cannot initialize it - producing an error that "request failed due to fatal hardware error" The disk worked just fine until I removed it and now it seems dead. Could it be because I had bitlocker on the drive and forgot to disable it before removing it? Any Ideas how I can get this functioning again?

Hey there-- did you ever manage to solve this?

I'm having a similar problem with an SSD + enclosure. I RMA'd the SSD thinking that was the problem and the replacement is doing the same thing. I'm also on my 2nd enclosure, so I'm thinking it's some kind of incompatibility between whatever JMicron board the enclosure uses and the Sabrent 512GB rocket SSD.

Any luck or solution?
