I just ordered this laptop. I checked the Dell/Talk and didn't find
many problems and/or complaints for this Laptop. Does anyone know
whether this will come with SP2? I'm due to receive it on 9/21 so they say.

P-4 3.4
XP home
1 gig memory
128 meg ATI's Radeon 9700 video card
60 GB HD @ 7200RPM
4X CD/DVD burner +RW/+R

Does anyone know what make the Burner is?

I have a Dimension 8300 with NEC 1100A and I have no problems with this
burner.

I also have a WD external firewire hard drive. Could this be connected
to my Inspiron?

Any information on the XPS would be appreciated.

Oh, would this laptop possibly be as fast or close to the speed of my
Dimension 8300 3.0?

It will come with SP1a installed.
