Inprovements of 98SE over first edition 98

I am currently running first edition Win98 on my P-II 400 and haven't really ran into any problems. I am building a new "Gaming" machine, a 1.333 gig T-Bird and thought I might try WinME on it but after reading several posts about ME being a bit sluggish and that it has its own problems and that Win98SE was a better way to go. So should I either return WinME and exchange it for Win98SE, or should I just return WinME for a refund and just install first edition 98 (preview it ). Is there a big advantage of SE over first edition?

Exchange it for SE. The benefits of ME are about nonexistent. Certainly not worth the 50 bucks.

Hello Kronos, thanks for your reply. I actually did exchange ME for SE a few days ago. I am going to start putting the machine together tonight and hopefully will get it up and running in the next day or so.
