Hey Guys

Whenever I try running any game like Advanced warfare or black ops 3 or battlefield 3 or 4 whole display blacks out and small box says "Input not supported". I tried most of the solutions but didn't work for me or maybe I might not be doing it correctly.
Also Windows does not automatically detect maximum monitor resolution. It shows 1920x1080 even though my monitor has max res of 1280x1024.
And I have set it to 1280x1024 now.
Its really old monitor.

Running Windows 10

I just bought used gtx 660 and used DVI to VGA adaptor for my monitor.

My PC config
Intel pentium g2020 2.9ghz
Gigabyte h61m-s1 rev 3.0
8gb 1333mhz RAM
Zotac gtx 660 synergy edition
450w power supply
Aoc LM725 monitor.

Please Help me asap

If you are using a Vga to dvi connector to your display the limmit on a vga port is 1280x1024.

That is why your screen goes blank when setting a game to a higher resolution.

In order to get a 1920 x 1080p resolution to work you have to use on your graphics card at least a Dvi output to a Dvi input on a monitor.

A 15pin vga port has a limited resolution, unless you have another input on your monitor other than a 15 pin vga port.

Question is what type of adapter is that dvi https://www.google.com.au/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=dvi%20adapter%20types. other thing is the game video settings are not set on a higher resolution than the max of the monitor

Its DVI-I dual Link Male to VGA adaptor.
Bought it from local store.
Update : Battlefield 3 and 4 runs without any problem.
Cod advanced warfare and black ops 3 still has same issue
