Input on a Build

Hey guys. Looking for some input. Got some help with my very first build a couple years ago.

Here's where I am at. I want to take things to the next level. Gaming at 1080p is now no longer all it was made out to be. Plus I'm looking into building a custom water loop. I plan on getting gsync enabled monitor (asus rog swift) or a freesync monitor. I have researched pretty extensively each of those. I have several builds in mind, but I want to see what you guys come up with. This rig will be for gaming and streaming. I don't do much else on it. (I play bf4, HoTS, crysis 3, and many more). I want a rig that will game at 1440 with good sustained fps.

I'm not sold on any particular side (amd, or nvidia). I'm particular to Intel for cpu but when you go higher end, Intel is usually suggested with the territory. Budget 2k not including monitor or peripherals. I could probably go higher than 2k. I'm at least giving a basis. I'm all ears because I'm at crossroads for gpu,f freesync, gsync, and etc. Throw your builds and suggestions at me and try and convince me that you have the answer.

TL/DNR: gaming rig for 1440 gaming with good fps. 2k budget (could go higher) not including monitor or peripherals.

How about waiting for the 300 series from AMD? Do you already have the monitors? Also would a 1440p and a 1080p monitor work?

Throwing a titan in there sounds interesting. I hadn't thought of putting a titan in the mix. My thought was that 980 in sli later might be better than a titan x. Anyone have any thoughts on that?

The build that I have suggested already has sli 980's.
What's your budget for the monitor? Also I am asking this again= Why not wait for the 300 series from AMD? By the time they are released some more free-sync monitors would have been released(I am only taking a guess here).
