So I've figured out that my A10 7700k isn't cutting it when it comes to letting my R9 390 really do its thing. Even with the overclock to 4.0.
So I'm looking to spend $300 and under. I've figured fm2+ sockets aren't going to cut it so ill have to upgrade my MB as well. Any thoughts on a combo?

If you have a microcenter near you then you can grab and 8350 with basically any decent mother board for about $250 (microcenter is always the best place for processors).

If not you can probably still find and 8350 and an ASrock or MSI motherboard for under 300 from amazon or something.

Hope this helps!

I think we already talked about that in another thread. So i will give you another (and better) advice about that matter:

$300 will buy you the platform you need to completely enjoy this R9-390 with cpu power enough for yet another one (crossfire).

Even the fastest amd cpu can bottleneck a 390. Currently youd need to go intel to not bottleneck.PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

FX 8320 or is the 8350 better enough to be worth the price?
