Question Input signal not detected on new monitor and PC

I built my second PC and when I hooked up the monitor to the PC I get a "no signal" on the monitor. I tried every basic troubleshooting I could think of such as using different cables, different monitor, checking the connections, etc. Then after doing some googling I came across a possible reason, but I wanted to get some advice from the community before I start buying more parts.

I installed the motherboard, CPU, RAM, power, and the hard drive (specs below). I didn't bother with a GPU since I wasn't planning on using this PC for any gaming, but then I came across a site that said you either need to have a GPU or an integrated CPU to provide a picture on the monitor. With that being said, I don't know if my CPU has integrated graphics or not. If it doesn't then I know I need to buy a GPU. If it does have integrated graphics, what are some other possible causes/solutions I could try? Any help is greatly appreciated!

CPU- Intel Core i5-2400 Quad-Core
RAM- G Skill Aegis 16GB 240-Pin DDR3
