Over the last month I have encountered a very bizzare problem with my system. For the first 20 or so minutes of use the pc functions properly without any issues. After those 20 minutes pass everything slows down to a crawl and from say running ds3 at max settings at around 45-30 fps i cannot even run postal redux.

i5 4670k
8gbram
gtx750 ti
windows 7 86 bit

Your system might be overheating. Try rearranging any case fans and/or make sure they are operating at full speed when necessary. Your GPU shouldn't be a problem as the 750 Ti is a very cold running card. Maybe your CPU cooler is starting to fail?
hope this helps

do you know for sure you have windows 86 bit or is it 64 bit? 86 bit is also known as 32bit and if that is what you have the your only using half your ram.

If you click on start, then right click on computer and go to properties it will open up the system window. Half way down the page it will say system type: that is where i will tell you what OS you have installed.

i downloaded the programs so here are the stats:

on core temp:
core 1=49c
core 2=48c
core 3=49c
core 4=48c

now on the afterburner (i talking about the things that you can edit)
the core voltage is on minimum
the power limit is maxed out
the core clock is at what looks 25%(Box next to line is+0)
the memory clock is at the same (box next to line is +0)
and the fan speed is editable and on the numbered box there is a 43

now the hardware monitor
gpu power 33
gpu1 temp 54
gpu1 usage 99
gpu1 fb usage 11
gpu1 fan speed is at 43
gpu1 fan tachometer is at 1507
gpu1 core clock is at 1228
gpu1 memory clock is 2700
gpu1 memory usage is 1756
ram usage is at 2456
cpu usage is at 25
pagefile usage is at 4758
i hope i am not doing anything wrong and again thanks for the help

could please tell me how to check what cooler i have (its been a year since i got the computer and memory is not my greatest trait. Also yeah thats what happens essentially, things that used to run with no issues (run with no issues for the first 20 minutes of the computer being open) now become incredibly demanding

The stock cooler will be an aluminum circle with a black fan on top of it. anything other then that will be an aftermarket cooler. Take to side panel off and see if there is a lot of dust in the fan or packed in the fins of the cooler. If there are then try blowing it out, which should help with the cpu temps.

Lets start there and see what happens.

well my pc was dust free. There are 2 fans one on the front, plastic and white. And yeah there is a stock cooler but it is very clean. One last thing, I got hold of avast antivirus and it noticed 3 modifications to improve performance but i have no clue what they even are: 1)iphlpsvc 2) it says i should disable faster user switching (should i?how?) 3)set cpu priority to foreground aps (how?) also once again thanks for the help

as always thanks for the support and well i booted postal redux (not a graphically demanding game) and it instantly run at what looked like 15 frames per second. the largest temperature was 57 on the last core
