I bought an MSI 970A-G43 for $67 back in 2013. After it crapped out on me today I was looking to replace it, and noticed that same board is now priced at $164.

Why would a 4+ year old motherboard nearly triple in price?

Even in the UK cheapest I can see is $89.77 (£68.32)!!

Saying that .....I paid $321 (£245) for my 4790K at release......now I cant see one for less than $404 (£308)!!! That is truly crazy lol :)

I'm planning on doing that, but I won't have the money for another year or two. Just looking for a decent replacement that'll last me til then.

Looking at all the reviews has me worried. Of the two that are fairly priced, one seems to have a lot of DOA complaints, and the other some people have said doesn't work with windows 10. Of course some people say they are running windows 10 on it just fine. Really don't know what to think, and hate to spend the time and money hooking it up to find out it doesn't work.

These are the cheapest two I could recommend, the M5A97 is on the lower end feature wise, but if you dont OC much its fine.

About the reviews:
Whose more likely to leave a review? Someone whose had a bad experience and wants to complain, or someone who has a great experience and moved on with their life.
Generally reviews should be taken with a grain (handful) of salt, they tend to portray everything in a more negative light.
