Hello!
I just started and almost finished an old PC build.
The motherboard is some emachines one, it is pretty old. I have a GT 730, 2GB of RAM.
I just installed windows 10 onto my hard drive I am going to put in that build, and that is in fact what I am using right now. So, this obviously starts up alright in my PC I already have, (It's a gaming/high level PC). This is also what I use my actual HDD I already own for and that also has windows. I tried BOTH Of them, but when I start up, it says Insert Disk and Press ENTER, but when I use the f10 and pick the hard drive, no matter which one, there is a black screen with a blinking cursor. The plugs are fully in (Plz don't ask me if they are xD), and everything was working, in fact I used the SAME hard drive that had Windows XP, and that loaded up, until I put windows 10 on it. Please reply as soon as possible. Thanks! (I also set the boot priority and everything and that didn't work.

I am almost 100% sure the model # for the MOBO is N1996, that is all I could find on it. I found the pic on google http://www.esaitech.com/images/detailed/11/UUU/img101358.jpg I am pretty sure this means the PC was named EMACHINES MS-7184 , I did not previously know this because the PC was rebuilt into another case :D

I'm a little confused by the description. You're trying to install Windows 10 on a separate hard drive using one PC and then simply installing the hard drive with Windows already installed into the old PC? Because that's a recipe for a disaster. Or perhaps I misunderstood.

Im just trying to get my PC to launch any of two Hard Drives, but it simply wont, it shows the black screen with cursor. Nothing wrong with the hard drives, because it works in my main PC. I am 100% sure its something with mobo or something

You shouldn't be trying to "launch" a Windows OS build installed on one PC onto another. But without a clearer explanation of exactly what's going on, there's not much additional help I can provide. Perhaps someone else will understand what you're getting at; I wish you the best of luck with your problem.

Are you using ide or sata because in the pic it only shows 1 sata port because when my pc act like this it was something to due form the ide and did you set the boot to the hdd you know that you want to boot from.

Yeah, I set the boot to that and everything. On mine there are multiple Sata ports, and I tried all of them. I was only able to ghet it to launch once, and wasn't able to repeat the results. Here is the exact mobo, I found it http://www.ascendtech.us/mmASC/Images/msi-ms-7184-v10-002.JPG
