Inspiron 3268 Processor upgrade

Can I upgrade my i5-7400 processor in 3268 Inspiron?

That model only came with an option for an i3-7100 or the i5-7400. The problem with a slimline chassis is that it's engineered to remove the heat that those CPU's produce. You can probably put in a i7-7xxx CPU, but it might overheat. Finding an aftermarket cooler to fit is the challenge.

Thank you, appreciate your answer...my guess was that heat would be the issue.
