i have a inspiron 8000 that was dropped and since then has started rebooting
itself. it seems to start doing this after running for awhile so i suspect
it might be heat related. i have taken it apart and reseated everything to
make sure nothing was loose. does anyone have an idea of what i could try
next?

Thanks

You could you could confirm your rebooting is truly heat related by running

This German "fan utility" will not only control when the fans operate and at
what RPM, but also place a Temp monitor on your taskbar to confirm what temp
it re-boots!
