is running pretty hot. The fan seems to be working overtime. How can I fix

What are the consequences of the thing running hot?

It shouldn't. There are temp diodes on the CPU and mainboard that are meant
to prevent it from doing so. It could be that your fan and/or heatsink have
become dirty over time, limiting airflow.

Good luck...
