[SOLVED] Install 2.5" drive in my chassis in optical drive place.

I have 3 spare places for optical drives in my chassis, but there is not enough space for more HDD/SSDs. Is there any bracket or something to install my new SSD in the optical drive's place? Can I use a laptop caddy to do that in my chassis?

Make and model of your chassis? You might be better served by using double sided tape or a ziptie to secure the SSD into the chassis as opposed to using a caddy.

The model on Amazon I posted above seems to be of high quality, but for this job, any cheaper 5.25" to 2.5" adapter will do.

I've also used velcro.

Theoretically, anything sticky will do, even a Zip tie, but aesthetically, you might want to do it right.

A metal adapter also will transmit the heat from your drives to the case, so a proper adapter is highly recommended.

Thanks, that's a good option, although this model is unavailable at the moment. I thought a caddy can do the job. So caddy is not a 5.25" to 2.5 adapter, and I can't use it, am I right?

You can use it temporarily until you find the adapters.
