Install built-in wireless card on my desktop motherboard

Can I still install a wireless pce card to my system if my motherboard has a built-in mini wireless card?
My desktop is HP: h8-1240t.
Want to install Asus pce-ac68 wireless card

I'm updating my system, but the router is 802.11n and Im replacing with 802.11ac. My system's wireless card is n and I want to install Asus pce-ac68 card. I didn't notice that my motherboard has a built-in mini wireless card with bluetooth, and I presently have no pce wireless card installed. My desktop computer has very poor wifi reception, while my wireless laptop 25'-30' away is excellent.
So, do I need to disable the built-in wireless adapter before installing a new pce wireless card?

If the bluetooth is part of that onboard wireless, and you disable it...probably.
