Install Decompression Failed

Hello guys. I have a problem with installing games from external HDD, it keeps getting a message says"decompression failed with error -7". i installed the same game a week before and theres no problem, i installed another game from other external hdd and its working fine too. also i install a different game from the problematic hdd and it works but after a while i check and now it also getting error says "an error occured trying to copy a file : the source file is corrupted". can anyone help me on this, please really help.

the data inside basically just all my games and movies, i can still play all the movies just that all the game installer always failed with either decompression failed or file is corrupted.

i just install crystaldisk to check the condition of my externall hdd and it says caution and got yellow marked in reallocated sectors count. is that the reason for the error?

i also remember that a couple weeks ago i dropped the HDD pretty hard and perhaps it could also be the problem, i search and some say perhaps the head touched the platter result in some sector become unreadable. can anyone explain further on this and is it possible that i can just open the HDD and fix it myself.
