I am unable to install the correct driver to allow windows 7 boot disc to recognize and allow install or partition.

I've donwloaded an Intel chipset file, and also attempted HP Pavilion driver downloads. But I'm stuck, anyone know of a solution or something that I'm missing?

I've copied the files from the disc the SSD came with, but not files are recognized when scanned. Only empty folders such as "Data Migration Software," or "Magician Software."

**While pressing F9 on bootup, I do not see the 840 Pro SSD. However it does recgonize my USB that has other drivers etc, installed**

Checked cables and connection? Change the BIOS Setting for the hard drive to AHCI, save, and reboot to see if that works?

What is the full model of your computer?

Have you check the BIOS to see if the the SSD is being picked up by the BIOS? You may need to upgrade the BIOS.

Oh thank God. I had all the cables plugged into the hard drive. Just not on the other end! hah. I can't believe I've spent that many hours reading forums and threads and because I had pieced the whole computer back together, I was reluctant to open the case back up again.

Thanks for your quick reply.

i have not try it yet because the parts are coming in, it just i research that windows 7 is having issue seeing the evo has a hardrive because its not MBA, and that the new driver will change that,
