My PC began to not boot and just come to a blue screen, I brought a new hard drive and tried installing windows 7 onto it but during expanding files it gets to 14% then displays an error.

“Windows cannot install required files. The file may be corrupt or missing. Make sure all files required for installation are avaliable , and restart the intallation, error code 0x80070570”

I have tried this disc with two different drives and get the same result I have no clue what the issue is a faulty disc or a broken component would be my guess but im not sure.

Now when booting my PC it says Bootmngr is missing 🙁

A cdrom I purchased from a site called techee.co.uk it came with a product key and a windows 7 professional disc.

well then I suspect the cdrom being faulty, so go to the web site I sent you earlier, plug in your serial number and it will give you and iso to download for the matching windows Os 7 you need for your key, if you follow instructions you should be making a usb windows 7 bootable stick boot from it, and install it.

PS: I have doubt that 18quid windows 7 is legitimate, but when you use the MS site it will check the key you purchased.

I went to the site and this message was displayed:

The product key you entered appears to be for software pre-installed by the device manufacturer. Please contact the device manufacturer for software recovery options.

I take it this means the key and disc are illegitimate?
