[SOLVED] Install from DVDs to laptop without DVD drive

Solution
For copy protection reasons, some software requires you to prove you have the actual disc during the install.

The easiest way to proceed and most likely to work is with a USB optical drive. You only need one of those and can use it on any computer when needed. More complicated is mapping a networked optical drive to a letter on your laptop. As you obviously have an optical drive somewhere to be able to copy files off DVDs, virtual drive software on the laptop to mount a virtual DVD drive is also an option--in that case you'd need to rip the discs to .iso but that is least likely to work.
