Does it matter if i install on ssd or hdd. Will the games utilize the ssd if i install it on hdd (storage) or do you have to install on ssd to utilize the ssd benefits?
i read a article on page filing. they told me to turn it off. Is that nessccary to do? or should i use 16gb ram and page file that?
General consesus is that disabling paging file is bad. I'm no expert in that area so I won't make an argument either way. If you experience strange behaviour, slowdown or crashes though, you might want to try re-enabling it.
Back to the installed on ssd. I have my games installed on ssd. i just have the location to D: my data storage. Should i put the platform games on ssd or can i have the game installed on ssd and have the folder in D: ??
Generally speaking, games will not utilize the SSD if you install them on a HDD. One exception I can think of is that if your paging file is on the SSD, you may get some benefits. For me, I can Alt-Tab between Call of Duty and Desktop much faster when paging file is on SSD.
