Hi. I have a OEM tablet. When booting appears the logo of "Hedy" but the tablet is similar to the "PIPO Work-w1". It have a UEFI BIOS and an eMMC card for hard disk.

The goal, is install Linux in that tablet, but I have some problems... Many of Linux distros are not ready to boot from UEFI .gpt partition. And other distros, make the installation, but when done, the SO does not boot and the tablet remains in the UEFI shell utility.

Please... some help?? Thank you a lot.

I tryed to install Ubuntu 14. The installation process works fine, but when reboot, ubuntu do not loads, stay in UEFI shell.

From UEFI shell I can not see any file copyed by ubuntu. But from a Live! Ubuntu, I can see all files correctly installed in my storage volume.

How I can start the ubuntu SO from UEFI Shell??

Boot to your live ubuntu and install boot-repair. https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Boot-Repair It'll check the UEFI istall and hopefully fix your problem. You can also download boot-repair as a standalone bootable cd if you prefer.
