I have acquired a kingston 64 gig ssd, which is formatted by win XP pro. When I try to install Win 7 on the ssd, it gives me an error like, "Can't find/create the partition." Set up see's the primary drive-1, but I still get the error and won't let me install the OS. I've searched the internet and can find nothing on this error exactly.

Yeah but it wouldn't let me install...just got the same message. I finally figured out that I had a USB 512K drive in when I attempted to do the install. I guess you have to disconnect every other drive, including USB drives before you can continue! I'm up and running now and what a difference win 7 64 makes! The speed is awesome. I had the os installed along with other programs I use within two hours of project start. I have a Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3R/DS3, E8400, 4 gigs of Gskill 1066 ram, GeForce 6800 XT graphics card. Thanks
