[SOLVED] Install of os on blank hard drive

Hi folks.
I received acquired a mini pc system and I’m have had a a few issues most of which are now resolved. My issue now is I had to replace the hard drive and can’t understand how install an OS onto it. I purchased a new HD and a SATA cable to install an OS. My concern is if I install a new OS from my other pc will it affect my current pc as I need to make it bootable and can’t work out how to do this.

You don't install it "from" the other PC.
You make a bootable USB flash drive, and install with that.
