Install sony usb device driver

Hello,

my Sony Handycam DCR-HC96 is not automatically recognized by my Windows 7. Troubleshooting asks for installation of Sony USB device driver. Official Sony page asks for 29.99 for that which seems too expensive. Any advice ? Thanks. Richard

Were you on the correct site ? Never heard of Vendor charging
for a device driver. Go here & enter computer model.
