Officially (MS) you have to install XP after W2k (newest last).

Does anyone know how this can be reversed? I've tried to just do it on an
OEM-XP-installed laptop but I did not get a proper multi-boot system.

Thanks for your help!

As already mentioned, you should have a separate partition on which to
install Win2K. Under normal circumstances, placing two operating
systems in the same partition is a recipe for disaster. A careful,
knowledgeable specialist can do this safely, for a short time, but the
ordinary PC user had better be backing up his data daily, as a
catastrophic failure is a matter of "when," rather than "if."

First of all, you CANNOT successfully install and run XP and Win2K in the
SAME partition. If you have a separate partition or hard disk on which to
install Win2K all you need to do is go ahead and install it. This will
kill/injure/damage your XP install. Simply boot with your XP CD and repair
the XP installation and you'll have a working dual boot XP/2K system.

That's what I did and then couldn't start W2k.

Thanks anyhow!
