I currently thinking about upgrading my motherboard but I've met some issues with the installation of window.

Do I have to wipe out window 10 on my SSD before change motherboard, and install a new one with USB after the changing, and if that, how to wipe the windows?

Solution

For the OS activation, read and do this before you change any parts:

For the actual operation, a full reinstall may or may not be needed. A lot depends on the difference between the old and new parts.

There are 3 basic outcomes with a motherboard swap:
1. It works just fine
2. It fails...

There are 3 basic outcomes with a motherboard swap:
1. It works just fine
2. It fails completely
3. It boots up, but you're chasing issues for weeks.

Prepare for a full wipe and reinstall.

If you do need to reinstall, you wipe the drive during the install. Not before.

Create a Win 10 USB here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
