Install Windows 10 via bootable USB 2.0 in a USB 3.0 port?

I'm planning on upgrading my motherboard and case soon (in total, basically making a whole new pc) and both the motherboard and the case only have USB 3.0 ports. How would I go about making the USB Bootable Drive? I currently do not have a USB 3.0 flashdrive, only several 2.0. Would I need one? Will it recognize the 2.0 flashdrive in the 3.0 port automatically?

In case it matters, the motherboard is the ASUS ROG Maximus VIII Formula.

It doesn't matter, USB is USB, USB2 just go slower that's all.

Yes but I believe USB 3.0 needs drivers to operate, does it not?

Not sure then. If BIOS doesn't have enough code to enable USB3 ports then you will have to go via optical, but I wager 90%+ you should have basic USB functionality from square 1.

It is backwards compatible, I have used several USB2 pen drives to install OSs on USB3 ports, there is no drivers needed
