Mac Book Airs do not come with a CD/DVD drive, you positive it's an Air? It may be a Mac Book Pro.

I have seen this issue before with Mac Book Pro's 2008-2010 (inability to read certain disks). To fix it usually only requires a firmware update. Go to the apple in on the menu bar and select system update. It will take you through the process step by step. Please pay attention as messing up the firmware installation process can result in undesirable results.

Good luck and I hope this helps.

Hi Roagie,

I have done it and apple website also prompt that my MacBook Air is up to date. Is it the problem on the USB extender DVD drive? Any other solution?
