I am in desperate need to install windows xp on my laptop and get rid of this partition. I am very very unable to boot from usb on startup ill explain why later. What I need to do is install windows xp inside of windows 7 and put windows xp on a seperate partition. I dont know if this is possible but I need it done.

Why can't I just boot with a USB? I own a HP laptop and my screen broke so I took off the full screen its self and I now use a VGA monitor and HDMI cable for dual screen setup. I do not have the original keyboard so I am using a USB. I literally have no way of getting the VGA screen to turn on during the boot process so I can get into bios. I have tried everything to get the monitor to turn on and it just wont.

Someone has to help me. Virtual OS is not a option...

Solution

Well, yes.

What are you actually trying to do?
You can't install XP from within a current running Win 7 OS.
Actually Virtual OS is kind of the solution..... you can install XP with VMWare or another virtualization software, and then you can set it as a bootable partition with Disk Management, so it will boot no longer virtualized inside of Windows 7 but a full OS on its own, see these steps:

Also check the "Creating Virtual Disks" section in the link posted above.

But will this stop working once I remove my windows 7
