Hi There, i´m havin` the following Problem:

In my OFP-Resistance-Handbook the last 5 letters of the installation code
are: -PTOW9-

I djust don`t know if that = is the Letter "O" or the Number "0" (O, or
Zero)

Due problems with startup after a while (firstly everythings goes correct,
after a while the game wont start) i think i choosed wrong with "O". How can
i find out if it is a number or a letter?

It will tell you if you put in the wrong code.
Don't know if they use the letter'O' as mine are all zero's.

As Kango said, you can't make an error since it will report it.

What kind of problems do you have ? Any error-messages?
If you have Resistance, and updated to 196, try "-nomap" behind your
game-shortcut (without the quotes).

After playing some times with no Problems, after starting the game, there is
no menue, just the desert background scene. when i hit enter the background
scene is moving, but still no menue.

I used to get that but can't remember if it was due to excessive addons or
having the game at the same refresh rate and colour depth as my desktop.
Anyway, to work around it, Alt-Tab to the desktop, minimising the game to
your task bar then click the minimised bar to switch back (ie. don't use
alt-tab to switch back).

That might be the amount of add-ons you installed.

The -nomap switch behind your shortcut will probably solve this !

Mine is :
"E:\Operation Flashpoint\FLASHPOINTRESISTANCE.EXE" -nosplash -nomap

Try it yourself too!

What does -nomap actually do? Just disables add-ons?

There's a better explanation from Suma hidden in the troubleshooting forum, I can't
find it right now though 🙁

Basically -nomap loads the addons differently thus making them work if there's a large
amount, modfolders also help of course :)

More info about nomap and modfolders can be found at Avon's FAQ
