Installation - Lockup

I tried installing W2K on an NTFS partition on my only hard drive today. Trouble is, when I get to the point where it is detecting hardware, about halfway through the progress indicator, the system locks and will eventually show a blue screen telling me of a hardware failure. Any ideas?
My system is:
Asus CUV4X
Celery 633@902
256MB generic PC133
ATI AIW 128 PRO 32 AGP
Seagate ST317242 HD
Liteon CD-ROM
Sony CRX-100 CDRW
On board audio

Is your cpu overclocked during the install? I seem to remember having problems installing os's with my celery o/c'ed. So, intall the os with the cpu at the stock mhz and once you've got the os up and running turn up the speed of your celery.
