[SOLVED] Installation of GT 1030 GPU next to 3900x with Noctua U14S?

I'm thinking of having a PC built for me with a TUF Gaming X570 motherboard:

It will have a Noctua U14S heatsink.

Unfortunately, the retailer does not stock the GPU that I want, so I'd have to install it myself.

The case would be a meshify C

How hard would the installation be? I've heard the Noctua heatsink can be big. Would it make installation of GPU hard?

Your GPU will fit even with the U14S installed no problem.


X570 board and i'd assume a good cpu paired with an gt 1030? Thats interesting to say the least.

There are more reasons than just gaming to buy a good video card...video editing work can and will make use of a good video card by allowing much faster encoding/decoding with the proper options set. Might want to check your preferred software before buying.

I write Python software and usually execute it from a terminal. The output is a few lines of text. Surely a basic GPU would be enough for that?

Yes its enough but you can still make use of a better gpu when using python and utilizing the cuda cores that your gpu offers.
