Installation of OS

Hey guys, how can I install Windows 8.1 vis usb on an NZXT S340 case? The case features no optical drive and only usb 3.0 headers. I've looked online and some people claim it works, others it doesn't, that you're able to install windows 8.1 via a usb 2.0 stick into a 3.0 port. Any other alternatives if not? Thank you!

USB 3.0 ports will allow USB 2.0 to run fine - just not as quickly.

Ah thank you! Would an external optical drive work also if I aquire the OS in a disc form?
