Installed 16GB of ram only 7.99 usable

Hi i just upgraded my ram to 16GB. It shows 16GB (7.99GB usuable). I am running Windows 7 Ultimate. I am curious as to why its not allowing the full use of the 16GB?

Solved the issue. Dont really know how but just removed and reset my sticks seemed to have solved the problem.

Most likely one was seated poorly, common issue or dust in memory slot glad ur going now

Hey i had the same problem. i was running on win 7 home basic 64bit and system properties was showing 16Gb physical memory(8GB

Try upgrading your windows version to professional or ultimate. It worked for me.
