[SOLVED] Installed 24GB RAM on Asus P6t, all 24GB show up in ubuntu but only 16GB show up in Windows 7.

So I installed 24GB of RAM into my asus p6t and it only shows 16GB of ram when I boot into windows but booting into ubuntu shows the full 24GB. The bios also shows that a full 24GB of ram is installed. I've tried each RAM stick independently and they all work in windows just fine. Also any variation of 4 of the 4GB sticks works for 16GB of RAM in windows but the second I add a 5th or 6th stick of RAM, windows will still stay that there is only 16GB of RAM but Ubuntu says 24GB. What could be going on where the full RAM works in one operating system but not another?

I found the solution, I have windows 7 home premium running which supports only 16GB of RAM. Posting for anyone else with the same problem.
