Question Installed 8Gb of RAM but only 4Gb is being read by the Windows

Good Day. I have recently installed 8Gb to my gigabyte ga-f2a55m-s1 motherboard.

Yet only 1 slot is being used/ 1 out of 4. but when i used CPU-Z . there is evident proof that i installed TWO 4Gb RAM. Picture is shown>

You are trying to mix two brands of RAM. The timings look similar. But there is no guarantee when you mix-and-match. You are trying to run at 1600 (800Mhz). Have you tried cutting back to 1333?

I have tried they both run the same. Apparently they are in dual channel. was wandering of how to make them run in dual channel.

Ram has to be identical or both to have same settings to run in dual channel. Also have to be in right slots as specified by MB manufacturer.
You could try with slower frequency and/or a bit higher voltage.
