Installed a Graphics Card and Wireless internet is now broken.

My network only shows two bars and doesn't let me connect to it. It works fine wired. I have an HP pavillion HPE. My laptops connects fine in the same room, five bars and everything. Its just my PC tower that doesnt do it.

Is your network cart on a PCIe port?

Is your wireless card built into the motherboard or is it a separate card that fits into a slot on the motherboard? If its a seperate card. does the slot it fits into look the same as the slot your graphics card uses?

I ask because if you are using a separate card and both are using PCIe ports, that could be causing a conflict. I have encountered this problem before.

No the ethernet port comes right out of the motherboard to the back.

Its built into the motherboard.

And you are sure the conflict is with the video card? when you take the card out, the network card works fine?

It may be something else, something I forgot to mention, I had to install a new battery for the graphics card to run. Sorry

But my wifi worked perfect before the install.

Could be a driver conflict, see if installing the latest drivers for the card and motherboard change anything? updating the BIOS might also work.

The drivers are all updated, I did thaat when I first discovered the problem.
