Installed a Kraken G10 on my GTX 980, do I need to get VRM heatsinks?

Installed the bracket this weekend, everything went well and temperatures are great!

Since there is a fan directly above the VRMs, would it be beneficial to get heatsinks for them? I don't want to let them overheat. Unfortunately I can't check my VRM temps because the reference 980 doesn't have a sensor for it.

I'm probably going to get some no matter what (due to them being so cheap) but I mostly would like to know if I should stop using my card immediately to ensure they are safe, or if my GPU is safe to use while waiting for them to arrive.

As always, thanks in advance for any help.

Solution
Close, the chips next to the ones labeled R22, that are covered by the heatsink in this pic:

The vram chips are the larger chips surrounding the GPU:

Good to know. Is there any particular way I can tell which are the VRMs? I assume they are the square metal bits that have "R22" (and that top one with "R47") on them in the below picture, but I haven't been able to find any definitive info on this.

These "R22" marked components didn't have any heatsink on them nor did the midplate touch them when I removed the stock cooling from the card, just the fan blowing on them, so I figured they'd be "safe to use but better to put HS's on".

How would I identify the VRAM modules?

I'm planning to install the g10 on a evga gtx 970 ssc.
Do you know if this cancels the warranty and do you have a link with the heatsinks you used?
I also can't find a picture to the location of the vrm's on the gtx 970. Do you happen to have one as well?

You would have to check with Evga regarding the warranty.

These are the kind of the heatsinks for the VRM and vram chips:

Thermal double sided tape

The Vrm are the same as per my picture above
