Question Installed a new SSD but i can't access BIOS (freezes at splash-screen) ?

I just bought and installed a new sk hynix m.2 ssd . When I booted up the pc it stays on the screen where you press f2 or del to get into the bios. I press the buttons but it doesn't take me anywhere. I removed the new SSD and was able to boot up with my old m.2 SSD. I swapped them again and it goes back to the pre bios screen where it just sits there. Is the m.2 that I received broken?
